PeacePlayers recently released a 2020 Impact Report to share the results of its efforts over the past year. The report features impact figures from the many countries and regions all over the world in which PeacePlayers operates, including the U.S.

Benefiting from a partnership with Nike, PeacePlayers has worked to carry out its mission in the U.S. since 2017. Over this period, it estimates 2,000 youth have participated in its programs, as well as 45 community partners. In 2020, it implemented strategies to bring together people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds living in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Baltimore. The Impact Report showed 100 percent of its Brooklyn and Detroit youth participants were able to experience something out of the ordinary through the programming.

In Chicago, 75 percent of youth participants reported they had increased leadership skills after taking part in PeacePlayers for a single year. Despite these statistics, the Impact Report also stated “a systematic culture of racism” continues to create a crisis in the U.S.
