An entrepreneur in the medical services industry, Chris Manfuso is the president and founder of Physician Ancillary Management, an organization that serves the private practices of physicians. In his free time, Chris Manfuso supports PeacePlayers International.
Creating programs that unite communities around the world through sports, PeacePlayers had to get creative in its celebration of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) on April 6, 2020. The day was established by the United Nations to recognize individuals and organizations that improve communities and economic development through sports.
PeacePlayers enabled young people, staff members, alumni members, and supporters to come together to celebrate IDSDP through social media. Participants took photos of their left hand and shared them on PeacePlayers’ social media. The pictures created a virtual team huddle and symbolized unity in the community while recognizing PeacePlayers’ important role in inspiring young people. While the global work of PeacePlayers has evolved, its commitment to promoting peace around the world through sports remains strong.
